Speaking of options, character creation in Conan is stunningly deep. In fact, if one wanted to, one could play the entire game in single-player mode – that means, of course, that the MMO part of MMORPG would be moot, but the option is there. The Conan team wanted to allow users to become proficient with the controls and the game world without having to resort to some kind of obtuse tutorial.
The first 40 minutes (or so) of the game is played like a single player adventure.
